Cut-offs for the JEE Main 2021 Exam

Candidates are frequently perplexed as to which of the following cut-offs they should adhere to:

  • Obtaining admission to one of the universities that accept JEE Main results, or
  • Qualifying for JEE Advanced.

As a result, we’ve separated the two cut-offs and clarified the situation. Candidates will be able to determine which option to pursue when choosing between the two possibilities listed above.

JEE Main cut off may be separated into two categories for the convenience of candidates:

  • Admissions cut-off date (useful when an aspirant decides to take admission based on scores obtained in the Mains exam of JEE Main).
  • Qualification criterion (qualifies an aspirant to appear for the exam of  JEE Advanced).

The table below describes the two JEE Main result cut off marks in great detail.

JEE Main 2021 Admission Cut-Off Marks Expected

While the JoSAA cut-off scores are yet to be disclosed and are scheduled to be released in June, we have computed the range of JEE Main predicted cut-offs that may be eligible for admissions in the ongoing session.

These ranges were determined using past session patterns, such as the cut-offs for JEE Mains 2018, 2017, 2016, and so on.

Have a look:

  • 80 to 105 for general/unreserved applicants
  • Candidates from the OBC group should be between the ages of 38 and 60.
  • SC applicants should be between the ages of 28 and 42.
  • Candidates in the ST category must be between the ages of 25 and 38.

As a result, based on the category a candidate falls into, they can anticipate being admitted to participating institutes for B.Tech/B.E/B.Arch programmes as per the cut off ranges for JEE Mains 2021. Candidates must appear for counselling to secure admissions in the IITs across India, according to JoSAA’s cut-offs.

Following the announcement of JEE Advanced cut-offs, results, and AIRs, this admission and counselling procedure will take place.

JEE Mains 2021 Qualifying Cut-off Expected

Take a look at the Mains cut-off for JEE, released after the exams last year (2020). It will give you a much better idea of the likely 2021 cut-offs. As a consequence, you’ll be able to study for the JEE Advanced test.

So, analyse your expected results using the rank predictor for JEE, compare them to the  JEE Mains cut off for IIT from the last year, and plan your future steps using the predictor for estimating your JEE Rank.

Elements Affecting the cut off for JEE Mains

Here is a list of all the elements that go into determining the JEE Main cut-off:

  • The number of people who are taking the exam.
  • The level of difficulty of the exam.
  • In the preceding year, cut-offs were implemented.
  • A total number of seats available for various B.Tech/B.E/B.Arch programmes.
  • The general performance of the candidates.

Conclusion

The JEE Main college cut off is established, determining whether or not an applicant is qualified for admission to a participating college.

For example, the cut-off for NITs will be determined by the parameters indicated above, such as relevant rules and availability in individual NITs. It’s also why different universities create their own JEE Mains colleges to use as cut-offs for enrolling students.
